About Vodafone Smart Prime 6

Vodafone isn’t going to win any international design awards with the Smart Prime 6, but it’s well constructed and feels comfortable to hold. The back panel is nicely finished grey plastic and metallic trim around the screen adds a small touch of class. The paltry 8GB internal storage can be expanded via microSD card up to an extra 64GB of room, so that’s not so much of an issue. You’re probably going to need a card if you’re at all into your music or movies. Vodafone Smart Prime 6 price in India is Rs.10000

About Vodafone

The company roughly doubled its size in 2000 by acquiring German industrial conglomerate Mannesmann AG. Founded as Mannesmannroehren-Werke in 1890 by Reinhard Mannesmann (1856–1922), the German company had become a leading manufacturer of steel tubing and by the 1930s emerged as one of the six giant iron and steelworks of the Ruhr. Although Mannesmann executives were not among the German industrialists who promoted the rise of Adolf Hitler, the company did contribute significantly to the war effort and therefore was stripped of nearly all its directors under the terms of the war-crimes mandate. Following a reorganization of Germany’s basic industries according to Allied occupation policy, Mannesmann emerged as an independent company in 1952 and conducted business in Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Austria, and other European countries in industries such as transportation and telecommunications. In July of 1996, Vodafone acquired the remaining 2/3 of Talkland it didn’t already own for £30.6 million. In November of the same year, Vodafone purchased People’s Phone (a 181 store chain whose customers were already using Vodafone) for £77 million. And additionally acquired the remaining 80% of Astec Communications (a service provider with 21 stores) that it didn’t previously own. The evolution of ‘Vodafone’ brand started in 1982 with the establishment of ‘Racal Strategic Radio Ltd’ subsidiary of Racal Electronics plc – UK’s largest maker of military radio technology. By the initiative of Jan Stenbeck, Racal Strategic Radio Ltd formed a joint venture with Millicom called ‘Racal Vodafone’, which would later evolve into the present day Vodafone. In January 1997, Gerald Whent retired and Christopher Gent took over as the CEO. The same year, Vodafone introduced its Speechmark logo, composed of a quotation mark in a circle, with the O’s in the Vodafone logotype representing the opening and closing quotation marks and suggesting conversation.
